I post one little QOTD suggestion that American cars are no longer crap, with the disclaimer that many American cars were designed elsewhere due to globalism, and I get a slew of burners telling me the cars aren't American, or are still crap.
The badge on the front, you bastards; is it an American company? Then the car is American. That's all the general public cares about, else you wouldn't see so many Coors-drinking rednecks in Ontario-built Camaros.

I would like a job as a Weatherman for any FP post:

Even with the addition of veteran actor Don Knotts to the cast, I feel like Three's Company really jumped the shark after the Ropers were spun-off into their own sitcom. The show really peaked during the Suzanne Somers years!

FPers are becoming dumber since a month or so ago. No idea why.

I don't tolerate stupidity well.

No one has flamed me yet, but it's because I blame old people and idiots who don't know what the N is for on an auto trans.

I'm with you on all points.
Sorry for your FP troubles.

I really should take a leaf out of some Opponauts' books and stop looking at the comments there, but I can't help myself. I'm like a pedantic moth being drawn into the flames of publicly-displayed ignorance and stupidity.

I think this one is more appropriate:

Oh me too.
And someone said why u get mad at burners.
It's hard not to! OK?! They yell and curse and stamp their feet and eventually you slap one.
THEN THE WAR BEGINS....the FLAME war!

I gave you a blue star, so fret not.
If the burners keep at it, just sick your Dalek on them. EXTERMINATE!

They are such a pain to clean!

There are a lot of people who for whatever reason feel validated by being anti-something. They feel like they are smarter and cooler because they know better than everybody else. You will see them on every single post about the new Corvette spouting tired old cliches and spouting about how whatever region they have some alliance to makes better cars. They can never take a car on it's own merit. It's sad.

I think basing car's "nationality" on where it was engineered makes more sense than anything. That tends to actually define the car underneath more than the badging or the location of the company headquarters.

Dismiss ALL THE BURNERS !

It's an epidemic!!
An epidemic of ignorance, stubbornness, and self-righteousness.

That'll get confusing for Joe Nonenthusiast, which is why I argue for the simpler HQ nationality transferring to the cars. Joe knows Ford is based in Detroit, and if he's clever he'll look under the hood of his Focus and see it was built in Mexico, but may not know it was designed in Germany.

Mexico is where the Fiesta is built. The Focus is nailed together in Michigan. =P
But yeah, most people just go by the nationality of the badge...
